This tattoo is not the best translation of the accompanying design on skin. A human heart with clock parts inside is a cool concept that could have been illustrated and tattooed in a really nice way. This design needed to be cleaned up and simplified before tattooing. As is it looks washed out, confusing, and muddy

Hey guess what? Shel Silverstein has illustrations! And although they are heavily detailed, at this size, they would look a hell of a lot better as a tattoo on your whole side than this weirdness does. People, I beg of you, please stop being so literal with your tattoos. Otherwise you’re all going to turn 60 and looked like you rolled around in a bunch of wet newspapers.
